I have very recently been a lot of books set in outer space, which seems like a setting that should be reserved for scifi. But it has been taking the YA section by storm recently. I mean, I can completely understand why -- I could read books set in space over and over again. There is just something about flying among the stars that gets under my skin and plays with my heart strings. Space is such an unknown/unexperienced that it really allows authors to explore their creativity -- they get to invent space laws and physics rules that allow their version of space to flourish. Speaking as one severely disappointed to not qualify as an astronaut, sign me up for some literary space travel!
