Random Word Book Recommendations

If you aren't familiar with this, I saw it on booktube (namely Jesse the Reader recently did this) where people tweeted random words at him and he did book recommendations based off those words. Now, I'm not that popular on twitter and this is last minute and late at night, so that option isn't open to me (yay for planning), so I'm going to use a random word generator. If you're asking yourself, who knew that was a thing? Google knew, because google knows all.

Random Word #1: Grin

This immediately makes me think of the Cheshire Cat, I mean it's only the most iconic grin for a character ever. So I have to go with this one. I just cannot wait for this book to be released, and I think it'll be an excellent read, and we all know I love The Lunar Chronicles series. So I have high expectations!

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Random Word #2: Duel

I always immediately think of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire when I think of duels. [spoilers ahead? If you haven't read the books? Who are you? Do that now?] When they're dueling in the graveyard and Voldemort's and Harry's wands connect. I just found that scene so vivid!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling

Random Word #3: Orchard

I'm not entirely sure why I associate this book with an orchard. There might be a tiny scene in an orchard? I think there is a scene in the second movie in an apple orchard, but as my roommate is fond of telling me the second movie combines three movies and isn't at all accurate. But I'm still associating this book with an orchard.

Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery

Random Word #4: Protect

This one I associate more with a character: Katniss Everdeen. I mean, she volunteers for her sister Prim to be in the Hunger Games! And then throughout the series she willingly puts herself at risk again and again for Prim and Peeta and everyone she loves. I don't always agree with Katniss, but I can't say she doesn't try to protect the ones she loves.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collines

Random Word #5: Neurotic

Three guesses what I pick for this one, and the first two don't count. I love this book so much, but Cath is 100% neurotic. She's got some ticks that would make your head spin. I find her so endearing and I loved watching her grow. Love Rainbow's classic style in this book, and highly recommend picking it up!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
